The city’s property market is flying as prices continue to increase at a rapid rate, but what happens when construction of the city’s major gas project ends in 2016?

In 26 years I have lived in Darwin it has always been boom and bust, as to the future of LNG projects in Australia I suspect offshore processing is the game changer, not short term fluctuations in the amount of gas for sale across the world. So the title Darwin: Could it go wrong is perhaps misleading, maybe "Darwin will be quiet after the project finishes" is more accurate. The Territory has seen real estate double in price every 8-10 years type of place for quite some time and I don't think that will change over the long term.
