I'm 18 years old and would like to start investing at an early age. To be honest it's very hard to land a job and save money for a mortgage deposit. Any help on how to get my head around the basics?

If you want it hard enough you will make it. You will find a way that works for you.

A good place to start is to read property investment books. They are easy to understand which helps to motivate you even more. Steve McKnight's book is good and covers most important principals of property investment.

Other resources are forums like this, and Ask questions and get involved in discussions.

It all takes time. Give it at least 6 months to 1 year to get comfortable with it.
