Your Investment Property is searching for Australia’s best property investor for 2012.

The fifth annual Property Investor of the Year Award aims to find Australia’s leading property investor and recognise and celebrate the achievements of property investors around the country.

Last year, the competition was an overwhelming success with Renae McGlashan of NSW sweeping top honours for having built a $2m portfolio while working behind the counter of a McDonald’s.

Renae and her partner John Thomas began property investing when they were just 18 years old, initially taking advantage of first homebuyer grants and cheap property prices in their hometown Wauchope, NSW.

Taking up the increasingly Australian tradition of winning silver was Morgan Crawford, a Perth resident who amassed nine positively geared properties by the time he turned 21.

Of course, the competition is not just about the dollar value performance of a portfolio – it’s about much more than that. The qualities we will be looking for in 2012’s winner will be initiative, entrepreneurial flair, discipline, dedication and a knack for pitching in hard work.

We want to know what has made you a property superstar! The competition has already started, there’s no reason to delay. Click here to make your entry today.
