Many Australians believe you need a large sum of money in savings to get started in property development or that it’s a market only suited for those with a background in the profession. But according to property developer and CEO of CCORP Carly Crutchfield, a self made millionaire and one of Australia’s biggest property developers, education is the key to making it big in the property world.
CCORP has already become Australia’s largest property development educator with more than 45,000 people attending Carly’s seminars and mentoring sessions Australia wide. Through these sessions, she teaches people from all backgrounds and situations the secrets to success in property development – from how to talk the talk to how to put deals together like the professionals.
Carly learned the hard way that knowledge is power. Having dropped out of school as soon as she hit her teens, business success didn’t seem likely or come easily to the courageous young developer. Instead, her business prowess came from a different school – hard knocks.
“I set up a cleaning business in my teens that failed. I bought property at a young age too. All this meant was that I had a huge amount of debt and didn’t know what I was doing. Within the space of a few years, I managed to turn that around and start my own property development company, which now has developments underway throughout Australia.” Carly said.
The best business advice from the 29 year old is simple - don’t stop learning.
“I may have finished traditional schooling at a young age, but I see that as when my education really began. I had a passion for property and so I read about it. I spoke with developers, real estate agents, financiers. I learnt what role each of them had to play and how to speak with them.”
Carly says you have to be able to speak the language of builders, bankers and brokers. It’s this informed communication that allows her to secure solid investments and also makes her a leading expert in the field.
“The more you know about property, the more financial benefits it can offer you,” Carly said. It is around this premise that she has designed the new Property University course, opening up the world of property to others. The two day course educates students on the basic steps, techniques, proven strategies and secrets the most successful people in property use throughout Australia today.
CCORP has been able to bring together some of Australia’s top property experts for Property University where, along with Carly Crutchfield, they will be teaching students some of their most successful moves. The two day course is suited to both beginners and anyone looking to increase their current property endeavors.
