Jason has been quoted as saying “I am not a property expert I am experienced in property investing.” As a testament to this, Positive Real Estate offers a Lifetime Mentoring Program which has successfully taught thousands of clients to successfully and strategically invest in property and build their portfolios.

Jason has been passionate about education well before he started educating property investors both in Australia and overseas for many years. His passion for education sculpted his creation of the mentoring program and ensures that clients learn the multiple buying strategies they can employ across all markets and at any time in the property cycle; from buy and hold techniques through to value add, subdivision and development opportunities. Jason explains “My aim in this program is to take the mystery out of the property investment game. The Jason Whitton Story
Jason grew up in a small l tightly knit community west of Charters Towers, a rural outback town in Far North Queensland where he attended the local school. As the oldest of three and coming from humble beginnings, Jason is no stranger to hard work. He has a loyal and honest ethos, rarely found in the real estate game and considers his marriage to Shay for the past 18 years and his three beautiful children his greatest success.
After leaving school, Jason joined the Air Force and worked his way into an Avionics technician position where he stayed for five years. After taking a redundancy he travelled around Australia in the pursuit of adventure. Being pre wireless, Jason found himself cut off from all media and embarked on a reading re-education. He credits the inspirational books he read along the way as instrumental in his wealth education and creation journey.
Upon settling in Sydney and after a stint at an outdoor education company and then Knox Grammar School on Sydney’s North Shore, Jason decided to take his passion for education and couple it with property.
In 2001, Jason made the risky decision to be a full-time property investor, so he quit his job and went out on his own to make property his career. Jason bought his first property in Blackheath in the Blue Mountains and thereafter used the equity to purchase various properties in Katoomba at about 20% less than the asking price. By using one of many strategies he teaches, he turned these into cashflow positive properties.
Jason then progressed onto working for major developers across Australia on multimillion dollar deals and this practical ‘hands on’ approach has provided Jason with a realistic and insightful understanding of the property market. Jason specialises in development site identification and analysis with a solid grounding in all the fundamentals of property development to ensure project success.
Jason started Positive Real Estate in 2002 in the garage of a house. The company exploded as Sam Saggers joined the team and they created the property, finance and education programs through their immensely successful mentoring program.
Positive Real Estate has grown phenomenally over the past decade, now with offices in each state of Australia and over 50 staff. They have specialised business partners who coach and mentor clients in each state of Australia, running education workshops. Jason explains “We have a niche product as investors can tap into three key components of a property deal using our experts in strategy, finance and property analysis to ensure that your investment process is seamless as possible.”
