A few episodes back, you would have heard about Bryce and Ben mentioning the importance of buying investment grade properties when building your portfolio. Apart from healthy finances and cash flows, it is crucial to get your asset selection right as well. But what is investment grade and what are investment stocks?

 

Let's start with the basic definition. Investment stocks are properties that are scored low in scarcity. There are in abundance and often if you miss out on one, there is another one with similar floor plans and land size right next to it. Investment grades, on the other hand, are properties that rank higher in the scarcity scale. They are the properties that are in demand by owner occupiers and often has an emotional value to it.
