Yes regular maintenance of smoke alarms is very important and also replace faulty and expired smoke detectors as soon as possible. Annual maintenance is very important for your life safety. The age of smoke Alarm could also matter for your safety purpose, So continuous testing and servicing of smoke alarm is very important for life safety of you and your family.

Landlords shouldn’t be stingy. I am in North Queensland and it’s appalling at the amount of rentals without airconditioning or proper ventilation and these aren’t luxury wants they are basic necessities in the disgusting climate we live in, the wet season brings very hot and humid air ripe for Mould growth not to mention making it very uncomfortable for the tenant who may have to go buy an energy inefficient portable air conditioner and they can be more trouble then they are worth so it is best to install split systems in the living area and bedrooms and high velocity extractor fan in both kitchen and bathroom. Shame on landlords who ignore this.

I agree with both comments above, but just wanted to put in a good word for Detector Inspector who we as an agency use to ensure compliance. They are a professional team! But invest in maintenance, it will save you a lot of money in the long run.
