The likelihood of an area to pick up a strong internet connection is arguably a deciding factor when purchasing properties. With a provider that can deliver a faster internet for communities, people are looking forward to making the most out of the opportunity.

Did you know? Hundreds of Australians are enjoying a much faster and contract-free internet. The carrier, FiberCorp, is now building and installing fibre technology across Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

More people are expected to have the same experience through Marsden Central, a masterplanned community in Sydney’s Marsden Park. It is seen to feature a standard internet that will give residents speed of up to 2GB/s. In the future, it is also envisioned to have a base infrastructure that will give residents speed of up to 10GB/s.

Currently, Marsden Central apartments are being offered at $504,000 for a two-bedroom apartment.

FiberCorp, together with property developer Kanebridge, is investing $5.3 million in building and running the fibre network from FiberCorp’s data centre into the apartments.

"Over the fibre, we will complete voice, data, Foxtel, free to air, CCTV, video intercom, smart home automation, public wifi and access control," FiberCorp Australia CEO Sam Scoutas shared.

On the other hand, Kanebridge CEO Marwan Rahme, expounded on the potentials of the project. “We are developing as much capability as possible into the network at Marsden Central, so that residents can access new technologies when they become available. Ten years ago, no one knew that streaming services would overtake pay TV. The internet speeds alone will be the first for an Australian residential development. Residents in Norwest Sydney should not be disadvantaged by to their geographical location," he noted.

Over the next 14 months, FiberCorp will develop a fibre pathway from its Alexandria data centre to Blacktown then the Marsden Central boundary. It will install the network into each building and apartment alongside the construction of the development.
