Winter may be the season when the property market enters hibernation, but now could be the best the time to find a bargain? Read on to find out why.

According to buyer’s agent and property author Patrick Bright, there is definitely a myth that winter isn’t a great time to be buying property.

“The main reasons cited are that there’s often not as much stock on the market at that time of the year and those properties usually don’t look as good as they do in spring and summer,” he said.

Combine this with the reduced number of buyers who are out there in competition for properties in your chosen area, and now could be the time to bargain hard.

“While statically there is less stock, there also tends to be less buyers as most people buy and sell in the same market,” said Bright.
