An inner west suburb of Adelaide, Hilton is within walking distance of the city. House values have climbed an average annual growth rate of 3.3%.
Program director of the Master of Property at the University of Adelaide, Peter Koulizos, says that the higher values in the surrounding suburbs have been turning buying interest toward Hilton’s more affordable prices.
“The many period style homes in the area attract the young professionals that work in the city and they are willing to pay relatively high rents for property so that they can live in nice period style homes, close to the city,” Koulizos says.
