Known for housing one of the few drive-in cinemas in Queensland, Tivoli is a well-located suburb only 3km from Ipswich and about an hour from Brisbane.

Tivoli is bounded in the north by the Warrego Highway, with the Bremer River in the south. Racing events are held on the Queensland Raceway. Tivoli State School has been established here, and nearby Ipswich contains St Joseph’s Primary School, North Ipswich State School, Ipswich Grammar School, which was the first high school in the state, and the University of Southern Queensland.
