There has been little movement at each end of the Perth
property market according to figures from the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia (REIWA).
Recently released figures from REIWA show the 10 suburbs in the Western Australian capital with the cheapest median house prices have remained unchanged over the last year
and now new figures show that is also the case for the city’s priciest postcodes.
Eight of the 10 suburbs that boast Perth’s highest median house prices in the year to June 2015 are the same that made up the list during 2014 and 2013.
It would have been a perfect 10 from 10 reproduction of the list, but affluent suburbs Peppermint Grove
and Crawley fell under the sales cut-off mark.
Dalkeith takes the cake as the city’s most expensive suburb, with the median house price sitting at $2,450,000 after experiencing growth of 3.5% over the 12 months from June 2014.
Over the same period Cottlesloe’s median house price rose by 4.5% to $1,860,000 delivering it second place, while City Beach at $1,700,000 took out third.
Nedlands claimed fourth spot with a median price of $1,575,000, while a significant 12.71% drop of the 12-month period means Swanbourne took out fifth place at $1,425,010.
A 6% decline over the year saw Mosman Park record a median price of $1,400,000, which is good enough for sixth spot, while Applecross’ 9.45% drop to a median of $1,390,000 resulted in it coming in seventh.
Eighth place went to Claremont
at $1,385,000, while Floreat took ninth position at $1,352,500.
Mount Claremont’s $1,350,000 was good enough for the 10th
and final spot on the list.
